All Central Administration staff will need to have a TRIM account.
TRIM is a document management system that is used to manage both electronic and hard copy records. TRIM was implemented at UWA in October 1999 as the University's official electronic document and records management system for unstructured information. The TRIM acroynm stands for Total Records and Information Management.

One way to describe information that is created and used without formal templates or fields. This can include correspondence, policies, procedures, minutes, agendas, reports, reviews, advice, recommendations and supporting documentation for structured information such as handwritten forms transcribed into another system. Managing the University’s business records in TRIM ensures accountability, efficient business practices, compliance, protects the rights of staff and students, and helps to preserve UWA’s corporate memory. Record Types currently managed in TRIM include: Personnel files, Position Documentation, Images, Student Files, Research Administration Files, FM Asset Project Files, and General Files. General Files cover a variety of subjects ranging from the University’s art collection to the Vice Chancellor’s travel arrangements, and everything in-between.
